Who we are

dooo.ing is a design and technology studio at WeWork Olympia Cyberspace, No 21/22, Alandur Road, Arulayiammanpet, 2nd Street, Guindy, Chennai 600032, India. We decide how the personal data described here is used: under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary. What we collect

• When you visit the website. We set no cookies and run no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, processes the technical details every request to a website carries, such as your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and keeps them in logs for a short time.
• In your browser. The site keeps a few settings in your browser’s session storage: whether the opening animation has played, whether you paused the motion, and the page that brought you here. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are cleared when you close the tab.
• When you fill in our contact form. We receive your name, your phone number or email address, what you need, anything else you choose to tell us, and whether you came from our poster or flyer. It reaches us as an email sent through Cloudflare, which may keep a copy in its sending log for about seven days. The form itself stores nothing.
• When you write to us. If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your name, your email address or phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us, such as details of your business and your project.
• When we work together. We keep what a project needs: the contact details of the people we work with, the brief, the files you share, quotes, invoices and payment records.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to tell you when dooo.design opens if you ask for early access, to prepare a brief and a quote, to do the work and hand it over, to send invoices and keep accounts, to meet our legal obligations, and to keep the website secure. We use your data because you sent it to us for that purpose, because it is needed for a contract with you, or because the law requires it.

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• The services we run on: Cloudflare, which hosts the website and delivers contact form enquiries, the provider that hosts our email, and WhatsApp (Meta) if you message us there.
• On a project, anyone we bring in to help, and only what they need for their part of the work.
• Our accountants and legal advisers, and authorities when the law requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside India. We only share what each one needs, and expect each to keep it confidential and secure.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don’t become a project: deleted within 12 months of our last message.
• Early access requests for dooo.design: deleted once we’ve told you it is open, or after 24 months if it hasn’t opened.
• Project records, invoices and payment records: kept for as long as the law requires us to keep accounts and tax records, then deleted.
• Website logs: kept by Cloudflare for a short time.

Your rights

You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to correct or update it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Under India’s law you can also nominate someone to act for you if you are unable to. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights their laws give you, such as to object to or restrict how we use your data.

Write to hello@dooo.ing and tell us what you would like. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the European Union or the United Kingdom, to your local data protection authority.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and only the people who need it to do their work can see it.

Children

Our website and services are for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If we ever add analytics or cookies to the website, this page will say so first.
